Spend action-packed days exploring Fraser with other 18s to 35s and fun nights enjoying bistro meals, playing pool and partying in the Dingo Bar. Two and three-day tours are available with return passenger ferry transfers, lodge style accommodation, guided tours in 4WD coaches, buffet breakfasts, picnic lunches and dinners and national park fees all included.
You cruise around the islands of the Great Sandy Strait to Kingfisher Bay Resort where your adventure begins. Visit the turtles in Basin Lake, have lunch at Central Station and walk in the rainforest along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek to Pile Valley. Then it's on to swim in the clear, blue waters of Lake McKenzie and soak up the sun on its white sandy beaches.
Drive along famous Seventy-Five Mile Beach, the world’s most amazing highway, to swim in Eli Creek and see the coloured sands and the wreck of the cruise ship Maheno. Then head on to swim in the Champagne Pools and climb Indian Head for magnificent views. You can often see sharks and huge rays in the water below.
Swim in beautiful Lake Wabby then trek over Hammerstone Sand Blow before enjoying a buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort. before exploring the beautiful Lake Birrabeen.

Located on Queensland's east coast, Hervey Bay is the gateway to Fraser Island with an easy 50 minute ferry crossing from River Heads Ferry Terminal .
BY ROAD to our Mainland Reception
River Heads is just a 4 hour drive north of Brisbane. Travel north on the Bruce Highway to Maryborough, then follow the signs to River Heads.
Greyhound, Oz Experience or any of the major coach operators have daily services to and from Hervey Bay. Transfers are available from Bay Central Coach Terminal to our Mainland Reception at River Heads (excluding the 1845 ferry service).
Virgin Australia fly direct from Sydney to Hervey Bay, with easy connections from Melbourne, Adelaide and New Zealand. Qantaslink operates several daily services from Brisbane to Hervey Bay.
Tilt Train from Brisbane (from the south) or Rockhampton (from the north) to Maryborough Station with Queensland Rail coach connection direct to Hervey Bay. Visit www.traveltrain.com.au for up to date timetables and check out the Rail Pass options.
PICK UP FROM HERVEY BAY
Let us know where you're staying (minimum 24 hours notice) and we'll pick you up between 7.00 and 8.00am, nice and easy! Courtesy coach transfers are also available from Bay Central Coach Terminal to our Mainland Reception. Airport transfer services are available between Hervey Bay Airport and our Mainland Reception - book with Kingfisher Reservations (cost applies).
TOUR DEPARTURE DETAILS
Cool Dingo Tours depart at 0900 am daily on the Kingfisher Ferry from River Heads- make sure you check in at the Kingfisher Bay Mainland Reception by 8.15am.
The cruise to Fraser takes around 50 minutes. Your Cool Dingo Ranger-guide will meet you at the Kingfisher Bay jetty and after the introductions and a quick briefing, your 4WD adventure begins.
